Daniel is taking lead on the initiatives working with the governments, NGOs, and key industry stakeholders for corporate strategy positioning, communication program, sustainable development and CSR projects in Asia Pacific region. He is also leading the business development, focusing on new investment and M&A program in China. Before joining Goodyear, Daniel worked for ArcelorMittal, global leading steel & mining company, as the Country Manager for China. He has been leading the China team to ensure the company having a common roof approach in communication with all key stakeholders, relations & partnership building, issue & crisis management, and implementing the strategy for business development & market expansion in China. Prior to that, Daniel has worked as the Director of Government Relations & Key Accounts in General Electrics, responsible for government & external relations in the sectors of aviation, energy, oil & gas, rail and water. Danielalso had various working experience with Burson-Marsteller, a leading American public relation firm, and a Dutch consultancy in market research. Before joining the private sector, Daniel spent nine years at Chinese central government ministries, including State Economic and Trade Commission (now MIIT) and State Development Planning Commission (now NDRC), working in industry & trade policy development, and investment project screen & approval. Daniel holds a Master in Economics from Australian National University and Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Donghua University in Shanghai. He spent six months as a visiting scholar in Washington, D.C. at Georgetown University.
