Ricardo Tan is executive director, external affairs of Dell China. He is responsible for developing and executing government partnership strategies, influencing legislations and policies, and managing issues and crisis to protect and support Dell’s business in China. He has extensive experience in engaging with central and local governments on investment, labor, environment, product quality, cybersecurity, IPR and innovation related policies and issues. Prior to joining Dell, Ricardo served as director of government relations at Procter & Gamble China. Before that, he worked at APCO Worldwide, advising multinational clients on business and policy strategies with a focus on ICT industry. He started his professional career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where he was stationed at the Chinese Embassy in Portugal as an Attaché.
Ricardo has a bachelor’s degree from Wuhan University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from London Business School. He is fluent in Mandarin and English and proficient in Portuguese and Spanish.
